Review of Right Under Your Nose by Holly Tierney-Bedord

This book seemed like an episode of something I've seen on television. You know the one. The rom-com sitcom where you're already invested in the characters and want to binge watch entire seasons after only catching one episode? Yeah, this was it. I was hooked and couldn't stop reading! Ariadne and Jess aren't exactly like Ross and Rachel but in an alternate reality, they could have easily been. They both are longtime family friends. Ariadne sounded a bit like an earlier episode of Rachel - both a bit lost after a breakup. But Jess is nothing like lovable, oblivious Ross. He sounded more sure, more grounded. I'm starting to wonder what those writers were thinking when they started character developments.

I digress.

Much like every romantic comdies out there, you knew what was going to happen in the end, but you keep watching or reading, in my case, to find out how they get there!

Right under your nose is a cliche book about two best friends who always seem to have the wrong timing with each other. The title even says it. What does it take for someone to realize that all they ever needed was right under their nose? With a bit of Christmas magic, it doesn't take much.

I loved this little "episode" wrapped up in a book. And since I'm already involved, I can't wait to find out what happens next. Cute, and easy read!

Right Under Your Nose
by Holly Tierney-Bedord
Genre: Chick lit
Age category: Adult
Release Date: November 13, 2015

Blurb:
This is a novella length book.

Ariadne Daniels seems to have it all: A successful career as a pastry chef, a Victorian home in a trendy neighborhood, and her dedicated boyfriend Scott who she's been with for years.

Her life is great until the day she stops by Scott's apartment to surprise him and finds out that he's not so dedicated to her after all. Shocked and too depressed to celebrate, she decides to skip Christmas. Her best friend Jess does his part to convince her otherwise, but Ariadne's determined to wallow in her misery, at least until spring.

Life has other plans for her, however. Some helpful meddling from a new friend at a local bookstore, along with some questionable behavior on the part of Jess’s girlfriend, turn Ariadne’s ho-hum holiday plans on their head.
