One of the things I look forward to this season are Hallmark Christmas movies. They can be lighthearted and fun, a bit sad, or a little kooky, but almost always, Christmas magic is found throughout. ![]() The tone, the setting, the Season; everything about Sugar Cookie Kisses reminded me a bit of a Hallmark Christmas movie. I can picture Holly Haven clear as day. I can see Katy Sullivan and her store. I can almost taste her cookies! I imagine how Caleb Kendrick must have looked like the first time he saw her. Their shared history and past hurts can easily be imagined in this Christmas movie in my head. I was "filming" this book with each page, each gaze, and read it in one sitting. If you're still out Christmas shopping and need to get a friend or family a present, I recommend gifting a book. Make some sugar cookies and wrap this book along side it. It's short and sweet. And in between those Sugar Cookie Kisses, this book will reminds us about forgiveness, and healing hearts. Well done, Mary Manners.
